Based Wonga park this survival course is perfect for the adventurer seeking a broader understanding of core survival subjects. This course aims to equip you with the knowledge, skill-set and confidence to enjoy wilderness environments safely.

All of the subjects we have chosen to cover on this course lay the framework for more advanced survival training courses and have been chosen so you get the most out of the day. Each skill is explained in detail and expertly demonstrated, after which you are encouraged to apply the skill for the duration of the course. No experience is necessary and it’s suitable for everyone and anyone.

This course has a maximum capacity of 10 people to ensure you get the most out of your experience and to maintain good instructor to participant ratio.

Subjects usually covered:

Psychology of survival: what it takes to make it out alive?
Shelter building.
Signalling.
Fire lighting, both primitive and modern methods.
Water procurement (Digging, Transpiration bags, solar stills & distillation.)

What to wear?

• Comfortable clothing long pants and sleeves recommended.
• Sunscreen
• Sun glasses
• Hat and waterproof jacket if you have one

Weather Information

We do not cancel survival courses for inclement weather with the exceptions of severe winds, lightning and flooding or extreme fire danger. If we cancel or postpone the session you will be eligible to rebook with new vouchers issued via email.

Survival course requirements

• Minimum age is 14
• Average level of fitness
• You must make your own way to the site
• Under 18’s must be supervised by an adult

What to bring?


• Comfortable clothing long pants and sleeves are recommended as well as a hat.
• Sunscreen and sunglasses.
• Please bring your own packed lunch, there are limited options for food so please bring enough for the day.
• You may bring your own knife but it must be a fixed blade and single edged and not a folding knife.
